When Beck covers Bowie, he pulls out all of the stops. For his rendition of “Sound and Vision,” Beck brought in a 167-piece orchestra comprised of a few members of the Dap-Kings, members of USC’s marching band, a gamelan ensemble from CalArts, nine guitarists, a theremin, and LA’s Millennium Choir. Though, that would seem like enough of a mouthful, that wasn’t everything. Via Death and Taxes:

As if that was not enough, Beck’s father David Campbell conducted the ensemble and celebrated director Chris Milk (Arcade Fire) created a 360-degree interactive experience where the music and the musicians surrounded the audience. What came to fruition was much more beautiful and exciting than even we expected from the event
