Smiths’ guitarist Johnny Marr has announced that he will be releasing his first solo album, The Messenger, on February 25th, 2012 through Warner Bros. Via Johnny-Marr.com:
The album was recorded in Manchester and Berlin and mastered at Abbey Road. Johnny has contributed writing, vocals, guitar and production on the album, songs titles include, I Want The Heartbeat, The Right Thing Right, Upstart, Word Starts Attack & European Me.
Marr will also be touring the UK starting March 2013 in addition to festivals around the world.
