Both the Flaming Lips and Radiohead were scheduled to play shows in Toronto this weekend. Radiohead’s show, however, was cancelled following the tragic death of drum technician Scott Johnson during a stage collapse hours before the scheduled performance. In support of “the Radiohead family,” the Flaming Lips covered “Knives Out” at their show.
“This unspeakable thing that happened…it can’t help but affect our mood tonight,” Wayne Coyne said. “All of our thoughts and all of our collective good karma goes to them…and to the families of those who were hurt.” Watch video of the cover below, via Radiohead at Ease and Pitchfork.
