Yeah, whoops. Guitarist Johnny Marr has been fined £535 and banned from driving for 56 days after U.K. police caught him driving 72mph in a 40 zone. The former Smiths/Cribs axeman pleaded guilty in court, avoiding a six-month driving suspension by pointing out that two subsequent speeding violation points had been added to his license before the first case went to trial.
“It was something he deeply regrets and it is the first time he has been banned from the roads,” said Marr lawyer (excuse me, solicitor!) Gwyn Lewis told tabloid The Daily Mirror.
