Spiritualized Sign To Fat Possum; Announce Royal Albert Hall Show; New Album Slated for Fall 2011

Currently at work on their soon-to-be-completed 7th album, Spiritualized have signed to Fat Possum Records for North America. The new album will be released in the Fall. The band have also announced plans for a show at London’s famed Royal Albert Hall on October 11th, 2011 . Tickets go on sale March 11th at 9am.

While it’s been three years since the release of acclaimed album Songs In A&E, Spiritualized have been busy in the interim. July last year saw them stage a spectacular orchestral performance of their 1997 masterpiece Ladies And Gentlemen…We Are Floating In Space at Manhattan’s Radio City Music Hall. Led by enigmatic frontman Jason Spaceman, Spiritualized are widely regarded as one of the most significant British rock bands of the past 20 years.

Based in Oxford, Mississippi Fat Possum Records has produced a steady stream of formidable releases in its 19 year history, including albums from The Black Keys, R.L Burnside, Andrew Bird, Junior Kimbrough, Band Of Horses, Dinosaur Jr, Townes Van Zandt, T. Rex, WAVVES and The Walkmen.
