FOO FIGHTERS’ DAVE GROHL and QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE’s JOSH HOMME were amongst the stars who joined a supergroup with TENACIOUS D last night (January 17) at a benefit show for the victims of the Asian tsunami. Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and Beck also swelled the superstar line-up for the grand finale of the gig at Los Angeles’ Wiltern Theatre. Comedian Will Ferrell introduced the show, which culminated in the super-group – Monster Jam – tearing through a medley of The Chamber Brothers, The Byrds and Led Zeppelin songs. The show also featured solo sets from Homme, Grohl, Beck, and Vedder, an appearance from Chris Rock as well as a full length Tenacious D performance. The show was organised by the new collective Music For Relief with all proceeds going to the American Red Cross.
